My Bangkok Trip - Day 4

PETRONAS petrol station in Bangkok.

On day 4. woke up early. had a good breakfast. today we decided to go to ayuddhya. on the way there, we spied a petronas petrol station while on an elevated highway.

Bhang Pa-In Summer Palace.

first stop before ayuddhya was bang pa-in palace (click here for virtual environment). this summer palace located on an island in chao phraya river was a favorite of king mongkut (rama iv) and king chulalongkorn (rama v). remember the summer palace from anna and the king?

after spending some time there, we proceeded to the ancient capital at ayuddhya. we first stopped for lunch at a restaurant located on the bank of chao phraya river. rice, kangkong, and fish.

the ancient city were mostly ruins but it was a great sight. one cant help but wonder how the ancient city was hundreds years ago.

we also went on an elephant ride that costed me B800 for a 20 minute ride. figured it was worth it as we travelled quite a distance and you really cant get a decent elephant ride elsewhere.

done there, all were dead tired. with the day ending... we called it.

dinner that night was no other place than..... usman.
