Songket Wedding Aidid - Norzie

I was honored with an invitation to Aidid and Norzie's wedding reception. Norzie Pak Wan Chek is the anchorlady for Majalah3, a magazine program on TV3. Aidid Marcello Azhari is the host of Remaja, a youth program also on TV3. The reception was held at Sri Pentas TV3, Bandar Utama. The akad nikah ceremony had taken place 9 days earlier at Dewan Perdana Felda.

It was an event to remember, with songket everywhere synonimous with the theme - Songket Seni Warisan Agung. It was a most lovely evening. Among the guests of honor were the HH Raja Perempuan Besar Perlis Tuanku Budriah Almarhum Tengku Ismail, Prime Minister's wife Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood, and HH Johore Crown Prince's wife Raja Zarith Sofia Almarhum Sultan Idris.

Her father, Kol (B) Pak Wan Chek. He's happy that her daughter has found someone. So were the mother and sister. As my camera was running out of battery, we didn't not have a chance to have a photo taken with Norzie's mother.

Ahmad Idham sat at a table next to us. He was with his lovely wife, Lisdawati, Nasreen Ngasree, Annahita and a few others. I think they are all casts of TV3 Samarinda - Aku, Dia dan Capetown.

All throughout the evening their look was in my direction... not just because I was awesome looking that evening, but a 42-inch plasma screen was just above my head. :D
