Berjenak-jenak dengan Latuk K

I came across this stall in jakarta, in senayan. i have no idea what it means, and i wasnt about to ask the stall owner about it either. but i thought i'd take a photo of it to share with you folks.

jakarta was quite fun... that was during those times i could get away. folks there were friendly... really defines 'teman tapi mesra'. ahahaha.... but that's another story by itself.


we got to know many of the indonesian petronas staff at the end of the forum. there'll be a lot of following up to be done. fact of the matter, i might have to go there again.

so what's with the title? that's a request from dith and matderih. yeah, someone already told me that if the criteria is "amat sayangkan anak" then i'll be topping the charts! not to mention i'm better looking. ahahaha...

oh well, i've spent a good deal of time with latuk k. used to lunch and this and that. i really am looking forward to more lunches and maybe dinner in the future. see you again, latuk k. and to dith and matderih, here's the most sensational latuk k photo...

sejenak dengan datuk lat...

i am at petronas health, safety & environment forum 2006 in jakarta indonesia. datuk lat, the renowned cartoonist visited our booth. it was such a memorable moment. i was quite speechless, things i wanted to say didnt quite come out. but, i managed to ask him to sketch and sign our guest book, plus take a photo with him.

i enjoy reading and pondering through his cartoons. my favorite is kampung boy. in my life time, i think i bought it 3 times. and then theres the town boy, mat som, and many many others. as a matter of fact, his travel journal inspired me to see the world.

my hats off to datuk lat. he's a great guy. absolutely wonderful.

Waiting at KLIA

on my way to Yankee Bravo land... specifically jakarta. ada health, safety & environment forum kat sana monday and tuesday. my saltmine ada exhibition booth, so my colleague and i will be manning it.

left the house at 6.15am on klia airport limo. my regular driver victor could not make it so he sent his colleague over. there wasn't any queue at counter c for jakarta flight check-in.

ok, my colleague just called. she just arrived via erl so now we're going for breakfast at level 2 food garden. starving!!!

and btw, at certain spot, the wifi is pretty good.
